Blantyre’s commercial landscape is set for a major transformation after Press Properties Limited (PPL) broke ground for the construction of a five-storey TNM Office Park.
The development, to be built on Plot BC1097 in Blantyre at an estimated completion period of 36 months, will be anchored by TNM Plc and will feature premium office space, modern glass architecture, environmentally friendly building materials and 264 parking bays.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony, PPL Board Chairperson Chance Mkandawire said the investment demonstrates the company’s confidence in Malawi’s economy and its commitment to supporting business growth.
“This development is more than a building. It is an investment in Malawi’s future. It demonstrates our confidence in the country’s economic potential and our commitment to providing world-class commercial infrastructure that supports business growth,” said Mkandawire.

He said the project will also create employment opportunities, stimulate economic activity and strengthen Blantyre’s position as the country’s commercial capital.
Mkandawire further credited the partnership involving Press Corporation plc, TNM Plc, TNM Pension Fund, Precious Medical International, PCL Pension Fund, consultants and contractors for making the ambitious project possible.
Press Corporation plc Chief Executive Officer Ronald Mangani said the office park fits into the group’s long-term strategy of making strategic investments that deliver lasting value.
“This office park represents more than a commercial property development. It is a strategic investment that reinforces our commitment to building resilient businesses, supporting economic development and creating long-term value for our shareholders and stakeholders,” said Mangani.
He added that the project reflects the group’s confidence in Malawi’s economic future and its commitment to investing in infrastructure that promotes innovation, employment and sustainable development.
The project is being managed by Press Properties Limited, while Pakwathu Concepts will oversee the construction process through a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers and quantity surveyors. Once completed, PPL will manage the property as one of Blantyre’s premier commercial business addresses.
