SAL Enterprise, organisers of the KuMingoli Bash, has reversed its earlier decision to suspend this year’s edition and confirmed that the event will return on 18 July 2026 in a refreshed format.
The announcement was made in Lilongwe during the unveiling of “Mingoli Bash by Oasis: Pool Party Edition”.
The organisers used the event to officially signal the comeback of the popular entertainment brand.
SAL Enterprise CEO Shadreck Kalukusha said the return reflects a renewed direction for the brand.
He stated that “KuMingoli Bash is back,” adding that the revival is powered by “a fresh new experience, a fresh partnership, and a fresh energy.”
Kalukusha explained that the initial suspension was intended to protect the quality of the event.
He said organisers chose to pause rather than compromise on key production elements such as sound, staging, lighting, hospitality, and the overall experience.
The event has since been restructured through a partnership with Chris Entertainment and De Oasis Bar and Grill.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening delivery, improving production standards, and restoring public confidence in the brand.
The partnership includes a MK60 million investment as well as access to professional production equipment, including sound systems and LED screens.
De Oasis Marketing and Media Manager Jacob Chimlala said the collaboration was driven by shared cultural and business interests, noting the importance of sustaining platforms that celebrate Malawian entertainment and culture.
This year’s edition will feature a broader lifestyle experience combining music, fashion, food, and poolside entertainment.
Organisers also confirmed performances from some of Malawi’s leading artists, including Patience Namadingo, Zeze, Lady Aika, and Skefa Chimoto, alongside a new promotional approach that will see artists engaging more directly with fans.
SAL Enterprise added that strong public demand played a key role in reversing the suspension decision.
