Malawi’s exam registration numbers have seen a slight decrease, with a 0.008 percent drop in students registering for Form 4 and Standard 8 exams.

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) reports that 201,384 students are registered for Form 4 exams this year, down from 202,940 last year.

Similarly, Standard 8 registrations have decreased, with 255,070 students registered this year compared to 257,129 last year.

In contrast, Form 2 registrations have seen a slight increase, with 166,652 students expected to sit for exams this year, up from 166,123 last year.

MANEB Executive Director Dorothy Nampota announced these figures in a statement released this evening.

Exam schedules are as follows: Form 2 exams run from June 1-10, Standard 8 exams from June 8-10, and Form 4 exams from June 30 to July 24.

The minimal shift in registration numbers reflects a stable trend in Malawi’s education sector.
