Music icons Jetu and Lady Aika are set to light up the Christmas season with electrifying performances at a special pre-Christmas concert in Lilongwe, where rising artist Angellah Masiku will officially launch her debut album titled Muzandilira Amunanga.
The highly anticipated album launch, organized by Max Promotions, is scheduled for Wednesday, 24 December, at Water User Garden in Chinsapo.
The concert will feature a vibrant lineup of supporting acts, including Miracle Chinga, Evance Meleka, Mlaka Maliro, and Moffat Aligiza, promising fans an energetic and memorable celebration filled with music and entertainment.
Speaking ahead of the event, Max Promotions representative Maxwell Olloto said the concert presents a unique opportunity for fans to celebrate both the festive season and Masiku’s musical journey.
“This concert will be huge. It is a double celebration — ushering in the festive season while also celebrating our sister’s growth in music,” said Olloto.
He added that all preparations have been finalized to ensure high-quality performances.
Angellah Masiku expressed excitement about the milestone, describing the album as a true reflection of her artistic growth.
“I am extremely excited to take this big step in my music career. The album carries mature themes, and the production quality is excellent,” she said.
She revealed that the album features tracks such as Pali Zuwa, Uyang’ane, and Limba Mtima Mwana Wanga, among others.
The event has received sponsorship from Choice Limited.
Speaking in an interview, the company’s Managing Director, Daniel Makaula, said the sponsorship reflects Choice Limited’s commitment to promoting arts and culture in Malawi.
“We remain dedicated to supporting artistic initiatives and will continue investing in the creative industry to help it grow in a professional and sustainable manner,” said Makaula.
Entry to the concert has been set at K5,000 per person.
