More than 100,000 exercise books, 180 desks and soap have reached three primary schools in Ntcheu, giving learners a much-needed boost in the classroom.
The donation, delivered by Ntcheu Central East MP Norman Chisale, targets Namanyenyezi, Kame and Nsiyaludzu primary schools in the areas of Traditional Authorities Champiti and Makwangwala.

Speaking during the handover ceremony on Tuesday, Chisale said access to education is important because it helps produce responsible and capable citizens who can contribute to their communities and the country.
He urged parents to ensure that every child goes to school, saying education is a right and that primary and secondary education is free, in line with President Peter Mutharika’s vision.
Chisale also encouraged pupils to work hard and use their education to build a better future.
He pledged to continue supporting learners in his constituency with educational resources and opportunities.
Chisale further called on communities and other stakeholders to work together to address challenges facing the education sector and create a better learning environment for pupils.
