President of America, Donald Trump used America’s 250th anniversary to call on the public to humble themselves before God during a nine-hour prayer event hosted by his administration on the National Mall.

The gathering, “Rededicate 250,” was a National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving held on Sunday.

Reports from other international media outlets revealed that Trump attended through a video message broadcast from the Resolute Desk, where he recited a passage from the Book of Chronicles.

In the passage, God calls for humility and promises protection to those who follow him, and destruction to those who forsake him.

The event was organized by the Trump administration as part of its commemorations for the country’s 250th anniversary, to rededicate the country as One Nation to God.

Trump’s Republican allies joined in person, including Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who told the crowd that rights come from God, not from the government.

The program featured performers, pastors, and civil rights leaders alongside members of the Trump administration.
