Multiple Positions – Catholic Diocese of Karonga

The Catholic Diocese of Karonga invites applications from suitably qualified, dedicated, and passionate Malawians to fill the following vacant positions at St. Theresa Health Centre, located in Zambwe, Chitipa District, approximately 10 km from Kapoka Trading Centre.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

1. Nurse Midwife Technician – Grade K (2 Posts)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Technician from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM) and a valid practising licence.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience will have an added advantage.
• Must be willing to work in a hard-to-reach area and be a committed Christian.

2. Clinical Technician – Grade HK (1 Post)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Malawi College of Health Sciences or another recognized institution.
• Registration with the Medical Council of Malawi and a valid practising licence.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Good leadership skills and a commitment to Christian values.

3. Laboratory Technician (1 Post)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Biomedical Sciences from Malawi College of Health Sciences or an equivalent recognized institution.
• Registration with the Medical Council of Malawi and a valid licence.
• Experience working in a busy health facility will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.

4. Pharmacy Technician (1 Post)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Pharmacy from Malawi College of Health Sciences or another recognized institution.
• Registration with the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) and a valid licence.

5. Hospital Attendant (2 Posts)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
• Must be physically fit, honest, and willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

• Duty Station: St. Theresa Health Centre, Zambwe, Chitipa District.
• Contract Duration: One year for all positions.
