Chief Planning Officer

The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts existing in various District councils.

JOB TITLE : Chief Planning Officer
GRADE: F/M3
SALARY: Within the grade F salary segment
LOCATION : Various District Councils

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

Applicants must be Serving Principal Planning Officers (Grade G/ M4) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in Local Authorities and must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Economics), Development Studies or Physical planning from accredited Institutions.

DUTIES

1. Maintain and manage the Council’s data bank.
2. Prepare project reports.
3. Prepare quarterly, semi-annual output based reports.
4. Monitor performance and progress of Council projects.
5. Serve as Secretary to the Council Data Coordination Committee.
