Miss World Malawi 2026 Ireen Navicha has added another glittering moment to her post-pageant journey after receiving a special audience with India’s High Commissioner to Malawi, Amararam Gujar.
Navicha met Gujar at the Indian High Commission in Lilongwe on Wednesday, in what became another recognition of her growing profile after making Malawi proud on the Miss World stage.
The beauty queen returned Malawi to the global competition after a 14-year absence and secured a place in the Top 40 at the 73rd Miss World pageant in Vietnam.
She also finished sixth in the highly regarded Beauty with a Purpose category, where contestants showcase projects aimed at creating meaningful change in their communities.
But Navicha’s journey is proving to be about more than beauty and pageantry.
During the meeting, she shared her advocacy work aimed at helping girls and teenage mothers get back into school and continue their education.
She also unveiled another exciting development, revealing that she has been offered a scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree at Sharda University in India through Maranatha.
Gujar congratulated Navicha for flying the Malawian flag high at the international pageant and praised her dedication to community development.
