...only stupid people think you have sense – Kamangila
Hip-hop artist Alberto Fernando Zacarias, better known as Jolly Bro (JB), has publicly criticized legal practitioner Alexious Kamangila for his recent comments attacking the late Vice President Saulos Chilima, labeling him as corrupt.
The dispute erupted on social media on Saturday, the second anniversary of Chilima’s death, coinciding with a remembrance ceremony held at Nsipe, Ntcheu, where the late Vice President is buried.
JB, who is currently in the US, argued that on a day of mourning, Kamangila should have exercised humanity rather than “throwing shade” on the deceased. He urged the legal pundit to respect the family and the continued mourning of the nation.
“If you have issues with the late [Chilima], there are proper channels to handle the matter,” JB stated.
Kamangila fired back on his Facebook page, dismissing the artist’s critique. “Those who are stupid think JB has sense,” he remarked.
The lawyer accused JB of hypocrisy, noting that the artist has been consistently attacking President Lazarus Chakwera for the past five years.
Kamangila questioned JB’s authority to advise others on humanity given his own track record. “Malawi is in trouble,” Kamangila concluded.
Kamangila, currently in the diaspora, is known for his whistle-blowing on high-profile corruption cases.
The exchange has drawn mixed reactions from citizens, with some backing JB’s call for decency while others have rallied behind Kamangila.
