Malinga Mafia, the self-acclaimed ‘Al Qaeda’ General, is on the spotlight and most sought after in the week that has just passed.
As monitored by this publication, the release of Levels Remix has made Malinga Mafia generate more buzz than any other artists in the just ended week as people trekked to various music streaming sites in the country.
While listening to the Levels remix which will undoubtedly be a banger on Friday nights, the temptation was inevitable for this reporter to liken the Archaida General who is currently signed with Chit-Chat Records to the incarcerated Gazza Boss, Vybz Kartel as previously claimed in Professional Lyricist freestyle that the self acclaimed Dancehall Officer dropped on MBC radio 2’s Born and Bred.
In the Levels remix, he goes bar to bar with Fredokiss, Macelba, Martse and Episodes, other heavyweights in their own unique styles. The all-star combined up dancehall and hip-hop powers superbly that Levels II peaked on position 4 of the chart on the very same day it was dropped. The masterpiece, skillfully produced by Lilongwe based tailor Djee Sley, deserves nothing than full 5-star rating.
The Bad Man of the Year shuts down the song like he did with Dear Money and Weh Mi Living showing that he is indeed one of Malawi’s Professional Lyricists that other renowned Jamaican artists have pounded a riddim with the Malawi Dancehall Officer titled Next Big Deal which was premiered on FM 101’s Dancehall Flex programme.
According to the artist, Next Big Deal was produced and Edited by Anjublaxx & Wayne Lexx of UIM Records on the Red Hot Pepper Riddim which has Black Diamond, Kalado, Shano, Konshens and Potent among other artists. The song will be on iTunes this week.
Meanwhile, as the chart below shows, Ametak and Grace Chinga were on a tight tussle for the Number One position which the former was guarding jealously for the third week in a row since the launch of Malawi Music Top 10 Chart on Malawi24.
But for how long will Malinga Mafia remain on people’s most wanted list of artists to return his position in the Chart? We can only wait as we compile our chart for this week. Click here for the full Top 10 chart as of the previous week.
