Sales and Marketing Intern

ROOT-RISE Agribusiness is looking for a reliable, committed, and self-motivated intern to support its daily business operations. We supply agricultural products and affordable irrigation solutions to farmers.

We are looking for someone who is ready to work, learn quickly, take responsibility, and contribute to the growth of the business.

Key responsibilities
Attend to walk-in customers, answer calls and respond to customer enquiries.
Follow up on sales leads, quotations and prospective customers.
Record sales, expenses, customer payments and stock movements accurately in the company’s system.
Help monitor stock and ensure all business transactions are properly documented.
Support marketing activities, product promotion and customer follow-ups.
Prepare daily activity reports and weekly sales and customer follow-up reports.
Maintain a professional working environment and ensure customers receive reliable service.

Minimum requirements
Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Irrigation or a relevant qualification.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to use a smartphone, WhatsApp, and other digital tools.
Willingness to learn new systems and agricultural products.
Honesty, punctuality, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility.
Ability to work independently.
Experience in sales, marketing, agribusiness or office administration will be an added advantage.

Working conditions
The successful candidate must be available to work on-site in Mzuzu from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on agreed working days. This position requires a consistent physical presence at the office, active customer engagement and accurate record-keeping.
