A Dowa man accused of stealing a Nissan Navara in South Africa has secured a free legal representation from lawyer and Dowa Kasangadzi Member of Parliament George Jivason Kadzipatike.
Kadzipatike says he will defend 32-year-old Blessings Mbalagwe pro bono as the case heads to court.
Mbalagwe is accused of stealing the vehicle and allegedly leaving it at his home in Nyemba Village, under Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa.

According to Kadzipatike, Mbalagwe was among people he found in police custody when he got arrested on Monday in connection with a tax-related matter.
Mbalagwe was arrested in Lilongwe after he allegedly went into hiding.
He is expected to appear in court soon to answer the allegations.
