NO holiday for Gunners! Botswana dismisses Arsenal holiday rumours

Arsenal end 22-year wait for Premier League title

Botswana authorities have dismissed viral claims that the country declared a public holiday for Arsenal F.C. fans after the club ended its 22-year wait for a Premier League title.

The fake government statement spread rapidly across Facebook, X and WhatsApp, triggering excitement and jokes among football fans across Africa.

The circulation falsely claimed Botswana President Duma Boko had approved a special holiday for Arsenal supporters.

But authorities have now confirmed there is NO official holiday linked to Arsenal celebrations.

In Malawi, Arsenal supporters have applied to hold a victory parade in Lilongwe following the club’s league triumph.
