Malawians went to the polls and willingly handed the torch to an aged leader, Peter Mutharika.
Why are we shocked now? We cannot act blind to the biology of aging. Illness is not a surprise; it is an absolute certainty for an elderly president.
While every human deserves medical care, our voters chose this exact vulnerability. We walked straight into this crisis with our eyes wide open!
The president has vanished to South Africa four times for private medical check-ups. The government hides the truth in total secrecy while bleeding the nation dry!
Regrettably, millions of public kwacha are being burned on private jets, luxury hotels, and massive entourages of aides.
This is happening while our own local hospitals rot without basic paracetamol, clean water, or electricity.
Taxpayers are funding blank cheques for foreign medical care while Malawians die at home. This is not governance; it is a financial betrayal!
Truth be told, someone else is calling the shots from the shadows! The warning signs were flashing from day one.
During the campaigns, others did the heavy lifting while Peter Mutharika sat silent. Journalists such as late Brian Banda interviewed him while he remained seated.
Honestly, Peter Mutharika couldn’t even follow his own nomination electoral process without help from his running mate Jane Ansah, showing clear hearing issues. During his own swearing-in, he looked completely lost and failed to repeat the basic oath.
Yet, millions indeed voted for him. Did we expect a miracle? A leader who could not stand on his own two feet for a long time during a campaign to competently lead a nation?
We cannot afford to sit back and watch our country collapse. Malawians must lead the campaign for accountability!
We cannot let a shadow government steal our tomorrow! We must use our voices, flood social media, and demand total transparency. We must force the hidden puppet masters into the light!
Therefore, Malawi needs immediate, unyielding legal firewalls for all future presidents.
First, presidential candidates must publish a full, certified health clearance before their names ever touch a ballot.
Second, every single kwacha spent on a leader’s medical travel must be audited and published within 30 days.
Third, a neutral panel of top doctors must officially assess the president if they disappear for foreign treatment, stopping shadow rulers from seizing power.
In conclusion, our silence is a deliberate treason, we must rise up and hold our shadow rulers to account.

The people had a choice – either vote that thief, dictator and useless man Lazarus Chakwera and his gang of thieves called “MCP” or vote for a proven leader Peter Mutharika. The people made their choice. So what if we pay the president’s medical bills? Its a small price to pay than to be ruled under a suppressive, kleptocratic and nepotistic dictator and all the useless lawmakers MCP party who only promoted violence, corruption and theft during their term in power. They drove this country to the ground. Isn’t the examples of what their thugs did to Sylvester Namiwa enough for you? You want to live in that kind of country, without freedom, without rights, under a dictatorship? Peter Mutharika is a God-send. Thank God instead of complaining.
Ndiye likhalanso dziko ngati? M’mene amakhadzikitsa boma la democracy anthu anakhala pansi nkupanga malamulo amene aliyense amatsatira otchedwa ‘Constitution’. Chifukwa chachimenechi, supplementary legislation in a country following legislated rules can not function on things suggested by certain individuals. If a country is managed in that manner then the end result will be total disorder just like what we experienced between 2020 and 2025. Even a country led by a dictator follows set-out sane, rational and pragmatic regulations.
