Roads Authority Board Chairperson Witness Kuotcha assured the public that the authority would closely monitor the project to ensure it is completed within the stipulated 24 months and meets modern engineering standards.

Member of Parliament for Zomba Malosa Constituency Grace Kwelepeta welcomed the project, describing it as a long-awaited development that will help reduce road accidents and improve mobility for communities along the route.

She further appealed to the contractor to prioritise the employment of local residents during the construction phase so that surrounding communities can directly benefit from the project through job opportunities and improved livelihoods.
