Police in Ntchisi district are looking for unknown assailants who killed 21-year-old Fred James on Friday.
Police report indicate that James was murdered on Friday night at Mayala Village in the area of Traditional Authority Malenga in the district.
Police investigations revealed that James left his home village Chomveka for Ntchisi Trading Centre on March 4 this year with an intention to buy some groceries, but did not return home.
The deceased was accompanied by his young brother Precious Jame who is a bicycle operator but they separated each other within the trading centre.
By the time the young brother reached home, the deceased had not yet reached home. On the morning of Saturday March 5, reports reached the police that a certain man had been dumped in a culvert along Ntchisi-Nthondo road.
When police visited the crime scene, they found him lying dead with blood oozing from a deep cut wound.
Postmortem conducted at Ntchisi District Hospital revealed the death was due to severe anaemia.
