Muslim families in Lilongwe are expected to benefit from a donation of 15 cows from Jane Ansah Foundation ahead of Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The donation was made at Madina Mosque, where Muslim leaders described the gesture as timely support that will enable many vulnerable households to take part in the religious festivities through meat distribution.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Executive Director of the foundation Yusuf Nthenda said the organisation remains committed to supporting marginalized and disadvantaged communities across the country.

Nthenda said the foundation works closely with various partners to provide humanitarian assistance to people who are often left out of mainstream support systems.
He added that the initiative is aimed at restoring dignity and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups while complementing government efforts in addressing social and economic challenges.
Sheikh Abdulhakeem Mussah commended the foundation for the donation, saying many struggling families would now have an opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Adha with dignity.
He said the donated cows will help ensure that meat is shared with people who would otherwise fail to afford it during the celebrations.
