One of the most prominent figures in hip-hop, Kanye Omari West, has rescheduled his upcoming concert at the Marseille in France.
Kanye has been ostracised from entering the UK because of his antisemitic, racist and pro-Nazi imagery, as he once released a song titled ‘Hail Hitler’ that depicts Adolf Hitler’s speech from 1935, and he has been expressing admiration for Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party.
Adolf Hitler is disliked because, during his leadership, he caused the death of 6 million Jews in Europe. For this reason and many others, the UK government says Kanye West’s presence is not conducive to the public.
Kanye West announced the cancellation of his concert in Marseille a week later; his summer Wireless Festival in the United Kingdom was also cancelled after the United Kingdom blocked him from entering the country.
Posting on X, Kanye West indicated, “After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice.”
He further alluded that people may not understand the sincerity of his commitment to make amends.
“I take full responsibility for what’s mine, but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Kanye West was also booked to perform in New Delhi, India, next month, but organisers cancelled the booking.
