Malondera hits back at Kamangila over bribery claims, denies receiving money from Kawinga
Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairperson Steven Malondera has dismissed bribery allegations made against him, saying they are false and backed by no evidence.
Malondera was responding to a court complaint by Alexious Kamangila, who challenged being implicated in a bribery matter, prompting the PAC chair to issue a detailed response on his Facebook account.
In the post, Malondera said he took screenshots of the allegations linking him to Apostle Clifford Kawinga and shared them with both the apostle and law enforcement authorities.

He maintained that the police already have full details of the matter, having earlier reported alleged attempts to influence his role as PAC chairperson on March 15, 2026.
Malondera also disclosed a phone conversation with Kamangila on April 3, alleging that Kamangila asked him to shield the Acting Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau from scrutiny.
He said he rejected the request, stressing that PAC decisions are made collectively and that the committee had already adopted its report.
The PAC chairperson further accused Kamangila of issuing threats and challenged him to release the call recording, insisting he acted within the law and resisted what he described as external pressure.
