Blantyre–based musician Man Chi has appealed for public support, saying his music career is stalling, and is offering bookings at half his usual price to stay active.

In an early-morning Facebook post, Man Chi (Dalitso Chiwambo) said times have been tough but he is working hard and wants to “rise, grow, and take my music to the next level,” and announced a 50% reduction in booking fees to maintain momentum.

The post sparked criticism aimed at Raj Nation owner Jay Jay Cee, who was accused of not providing promised promotion and production support; Jay Jay Cee replied that Raj Nation had a one‑year contract with Man Chi that was not extended and that he is not the artist’s manager.

Man Chi confirmed to Malawi24 that his contract with Raj Nation has ended, adding he benefited from the deal including learning to sell his music online, and remains on good terms with Jay Jay Cee.

He rose to prominence six years ago with the single “Passport,” which featured Malawian‑American artist Nepman.
