Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Plc has apologized to its valued customers following a temporary system error that caused incorrect pricing for its 370GB data bundle on 7 November 2025.
According to a statement released on Friday, the mobile service provider said the error occurred during an upgrade of its TNM Mpamba platform to a new and improved system.
The glitch resulted in some customers being charged lower-than-standard rates for the 370GB bundle.
TNM said the issue was quickly identified and has since been fixed. The company added that all affected transactions are being reversed in line with TNM’s terms and conditions.
“The issue was promptly identified and has since been rectified. Transactions processed at incorrect rates are being reversed,” the company said.
According to the statement, the system upgrade is part of its ongoing investment in improving service efficiency, reliability, and customer experience.
The company assured customers that their accounts remain secure and that measures are in place to prevent similar incidents in the future.
TNM has sincerely apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused and assures customers that their accounts remain secure.
The telecom firm also thanked customers for their patience and understanding as it completes the system enhancement.
TNM said the upgrade will deliver a faster, safer, and more convenient Mpamba service.
The company encouraged customers with questions or concerns to contact the TNM Call Centre or visit the nearest TNM Service Centre for assistance.
