Voting closes for 2025 Year-End Awards as 40 businesses await recognition
Malawians can now look forward to an exciting celebration of business excellence as voting for the 2025 Year-End Awards officially closed last night after running since October 20.
The awards gala, organized by National Product Magazine (NPM), is scheduled for December 14 at the BICC in Lilongwe, under the theme “Where Innovation Meets Distinction: Celebrating Excellence and Service Across Industries.” The awards aim to honour innovation, impact, and service excellence across multiple industries.
According to NPM Executive Director Arthur Chinyamula, this year’s edition features over 40 award categories celebrating exceptional achievements in manufacturing, technology, food processing, agriculture, real estate, tourism, transport, and banking.
Some of the major categories include Exporter of the Year, Business Reporter of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, and Service Excellence Award, among others.
In the banking sector, NBS Bank stands out as one of the key nominees, having been shortlisted in three categories, a reflection of its strong performance and growing influence in Malawi’s financial landscape.
The event will begin with an industry exhibition and product showcase, providing a platform for companies to display their innovations and services. Guests will also enjoy a glamorous red carpet session before the main ceremony.
Chinyamula encouraged attendees to come dressed to impress, noting that this year’s gala will include a special segment to recognise the four best-dressed guests of the night.
This year’s celebration also marks National Product Magazine’s 120th edition, and organisers promise an unforgettable experience, featuring live performances by Lulu and traditional dance groups to crown what Chinyamula described as “an epic night, a night to remember.”
