In a bid to ensure seamless operations, Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining, Jean Mathanga, has put staff on notice, emphasizing that any form of misconduct will not be tolerated in the ministry.

Mathanga made the remarks during an interface meeting with senior employees from departments under her ministry, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and commitment in achieving the ministry’s objectives.

She also highlighted the crucial role of natural resources, energy, and mining in people’s everyday lives, stressing that Malawians have high expectations from the ministry’s employees.

“My ministry has a lot of work to do and as such, Malawians have high expectations from you as employees of this ministry,” Mathanga said.

She further urged staff members to show utmost professionalism in their duties to enhance operations, emphasizing that production and expansion are priorities of her ministry. The Minister also stressed the need for proper procedures in issuing licenses.

“Follow proper procedures whenever issuing licenses in different sectors. I know the work is very challenging, but collectively working as a team, we shall overcome.” She said.

Secretary for Natural Resources, Energy and Mining, Richard Perekamoyo, commended the Minister for her interaction with staff, emphasizing teamwork and promoting collaboration within the ministry.
