Chris Loka is facing accusations of diverting MK1.8 million that philanthropist Chacha sent to support gospel musician Shammah Vocals.
In an interview on Pakaya TV online, Shammah said he only discovered after eight months that Chacha had transferred the full amount, contrary to what he was made to believe.
“When the manager [Loka] called me he said I needed to have sent MK500,000 to another account. I did given the trust that was all before us. But now it appears it was not supposed to be the case at all. I was meant to be the full MK1.8 Million,” said the artist.
The revelations have changed public opinion, with many on social media now saying the claims clear Chacha from earlier suspicions surrounding her charity work.
One user, Mayamiko Beula, wrote, “We now see the change in the pendulum. It appears this boy has been lying to us all along.”
Another user, Milias Ibrahim Debwe, blamed Loka for a lack of honesty, saying.
Chacha, who is based in the United States, is known for her charity work in art, education, and health.
Meanwhile, Loka is yet to comment on the accusations, as he has before on his pages.
