Confusion as some JCE candidates claim to have seen results before official release
Some candidates who sat for this year’s Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examinations claim to have accessed their results via the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) website, despite the government not yet announcing results for both JCE and Primary School Leaving Certificate (Standard 8) exams.
Reports indicate that certain candidates managed to view their results ahead of the official release. Zodiak Broadcasting Station said it verified the claims by successfully retrieving the results of one candidate using their examination number.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education, through its spokesperson Christopher Kapachika Banda, dismissed the claims, insisting that no one had accessed the results.
However, hours later, Banda posted in a WhatsApp media forum that the ministry had received calls alleging that some people were viewing the 2025 JCE results on the MANEB portal.
“I have received calls alleging that some people are accessing the 2025 Junior Certificate of Education examinations through the MANEB portal. The portal is down and not accessible as such any related speculations should be ignored,” he said.
The Ministry of Education has yet to announce the official release date for both Standard 8 and JCE results.
