Atupele Muluzi urges traditional leaders to fearlessly address political wrongs

United Democratic Front (UDF) leader Atupele Muluzi has urged traditional leaders to fearlessly reprimand politicians when they engage in wrongful acts.

Muluzi stated that currently, the country is being destroyed by politicians, yet in the end, it is the innocent citizens who suffer.

He therefore called on traditional leaders to take an active role in advising and correcting wrongdoings.

These remarks were made during meetings held today at the Chinguni grounds in the area of Senior Chief Sitola in Machinga district.

The occasion was the celebration ceremony of Senior Chief Sitola, who was recently installed into his traditional role.

Prior to this, Muluzi also engaged with people at various locations including Mangochi turn off and Liwonde market.

He warned that if people fail to vote wisely, economic challenges will worsen.

Muluzi’s call highlights the importance of accountable leadership and the role of traditional authorities in Malawi’s political landscape.

His message resonates amid growing concerns about political accountability and citizen welfare.
