Sosola primary school head teacher dies in road accident

A road accident has claimed the life of Edward Naluso, who until his death was serving as head teacher at Sosola Primary School in Balaka District.

Naluso has died following a tragic road accident that occurred on Monday evening at Balaka Weigh Bridge, located along the M1 Road in Ntcheu District.

According to Ntcheu Police Spokesperson, Inspector Jacob Khembo, the 54-year-old was riding his motorcycle from Balaka Market heading towards Chingeni Tollgate when the accident happened. At the time of the incident, Naluso was approaching the weigh bridge area.

Police reports indicate that upon reaching the weigh bridge, Naluso collided with a Howo truck belonging to Nabila Company. The truck was being driven by Orlasio Kaitano, who was turning right into the weigh bridge premises when the motorcycle and truck made impact.

The collision left Naluso with severe head injuries and he was immediately rushed to Balaka District Hospital for medical attention, but despite efforts by health personnel, he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
