Malawi is set to leap onto the global business stage, following the nomination of its flagship business publication, National Product Magazine (NPM), for the 2025 Africa and Pacesetters International Awards.

According to the organisers, Jubilant Stewards of Africa, NPM has been nominated for its outstanding contribution to economic development and for amplifying the visibility of Malawian businesses and products across the SADC region and the African continent at large.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on July 25 at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

“We are pleased to inform you (NPM) that you have been nominated for the Pacesetters International Awards 2025,” reads the letter signed by Bruce Ambetsa, Programs Communications Associate.

Reacting to the news, NPM Managing Director Arthur Chinyamula said this is NPM’s first international recognition since its founding, and belongs to every Malawian who supports the vision of promoting local products for export.

“This recognition is for all of us as Malawians, our collective efforts to promote local products for export are being noticed. Let us continue to support the magazine’s agenda in advancing manufacturing, agriculture, and transport, which are crucial for earning the much-needed foreign exchange,” Chinyamula said.

The nomination follows NPM’s successful Mid-Year Awards and the launch of its 115th edition on June 21 in Lilongwe, which reaffirmed its leadership in business storytelling and national development advocacy.
