Bishop William Mchombo of the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire (ADUS) has urged outgoing form four students from Malosa Secondary School to maintain good character as they return home after writing their final examinations.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony held at the school’s hall in Zomba, Bishop Mchombo emphasized the importance of upright behavior and responsibility.

“These students should be young men and women of good character—people whose behavior attracts others positively,” he said. “They should take care of school equipment and facilities, ensuring that future generations can also benefit. They are not the last ones to pass through this school—many more are coming after them, and they deserve to find the school intact.”

He further advised that students should leave school well-rounded, being socially, academically, and mentally equipped for the next phase of life.

Malosa Secondary School headteacher, Peter Bamusi praised the outgoing class for their discipline and hard work.

“This has been a very disciplined and hardworking group. One of their key achievements includes winning the English competition at the division level. Some of our students also performed exceptionally well in the division mock exams, with three placing in second position,” said Bamusi.

On behalf of the students, former head boy Arthur Sawasawa expressed gratitude to the teachers for their support and guidance.

“We owe you our heartfelt appreciation for the parental love and care you have shown us over the past four years. Despite our shortcomings along the way, you embraced us warmly and raised us with values worth sharing,” he said.

This year, a total of 165 students from Malosa Secondary School are expected to sit for the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.
