As the saying goes, desperate times call for desperate measures, Senegal plans to involve Witchcraft in Sadio Mane’s recovery process ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Senegalese General Secretary of the world soccer governing body Fatma Samoura has said, the country will do whatever it takes to ensure Mane’s presence at the global tournament.
“We are going to use witch doctors,” she told Europe 1
Although she is not sure about the effectiveness of the traditional means, she said they will go on with the plan.
“I don’t know (if they’re effective) but in this instance, we’re going to use them anyway. We are hoping for miracles. He has to be there!”
Despite the injury, the former Liverpool man has been included in Senegal’s world cup squad.
The 30-year old limped out with an injury in the 20th minute of Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen league encounter on Tuesday.
