Zambia-based Malawian singer Patience Namadingo is worth a thousand claps following success of his concert in the neighbouring Mozambique over the weekend.

The musician managed to pull a huge crowd in Cidade Tete, following ligorous marketing of the event in question.

The Mapulani hit maker was greeted by weighty cheers when he stepped on stage waving the Malawi flag. In the course of his performance, the overzealous patrons sang along to every song.

Following success of the event, some people have argued that Namadingo is beginning to take over the Southern Africa Region with his influence in music circles.

“He is being rewarded for the effort he applied in pernetrating the Southern Africa region. It is safe to argue that he is now an international artist due to his influence,” reads one of the comments.

Renowned Malawians in different fields have also saluted the artist for his success. Musicians Tay Grin, Neo Metals, Nesnes and Black Nina, and poet Silvestre Kalizang’oma are among those that have congratulated the Doc.

This is the second successful event outside his base, as he also attracted a huge crowd in Cape Town, South Africa a few months ago.

Perharps, producing songs in different languages from Southern Africa has given him a key to the region. He did songs in languages from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique among others.
