‘Sorry to my mother’ movie to be premiered tomorrow in Lilongwe

Producers of the most anticipated movie called ‘Sorry to my mother’ say they have finalised all the preparations for the movie premiere scheduled to take place at Golden Peacock Hotel in Lilongwe on Friday, 29th April 2022.

Among others, the movie premiere will be spiced by live music performances by Lulu, Ben Mankhamba and Rudo Chakwera who also did theme song for the movie.

Speaking in an interview, Producer of the movie Brazio Kanyong’o said so far the movie has received positive feedback from people from all walks of life including Malawians living abroad in countries like South Africa, UK and United States of America.

Kanyong’o also thanked the corporate world for rendering support towards premiere of the movie saying companies and some well-wishers have made contributions in both kind and resources.

He said the movie has also received positive feedback from thirsty fun seekers in many parts of the country including Blantyre and Mzuzu where many people are also hit by the fever to watch the movie.

However, one of the directors of the movie, Alex Chilambe also known as Maguba in the entertainment circles said they are prepared enough for the event and optimistic that people will have good time.

“We have done all what is necessary for people to enjoy the screening of the movie. Security and everything is intact, we are ready to give Malawians a five-star experience at the best hotel in Malawi.

Chilambe said among others, the event will also be graced by Church leaders, Chiefs, Government officials and business people who have already confirmed.

He said people in Lilongwe should expect the best cinema experience and it will also be a platform where people will connect.

“Our event is more than a movie night; it is an experience. We are expecting decision makers, great business people, policy makers and top officials. Our film is about social change and we expect these great minds during the screening.

Confirming their presence during the event both Lulu and Mankhamba said they are prepared enough to give out the best performance and people will not regret.

Scheduled to start at 6 O’clock in the evening the event is pegged at K10, 000 standard ticket and K35,000 VIP.

Sorry to my mother’ is a new movie that tackles realities of life ranging from poverty, ungratefulness and struggles of a single mother.

The movie was produced by Magic Promotions Company and filmed by John Nguluwe of positive arts.
