“We appreciate the relationship between DPP and Muslim, and we are working tooth and nail to maintain DPP in its position,” Shaban said.

He pointed out some of the projects that have been done on the ground such as upgrading of roads, construction of Ntcheu hospital fence, introduction of Malawi Rural Electrification Programme (MAREP), street lights, and Technical colleges that will transform the lives of people.

“Professor Arthur Peter Muthalika has shown humility, maturity and patience since 2014, hence we are expecting unity between Muslims and Christians rather than rage,” Shaban said.

The Ntcheu Muslim community has since urged Malawians to exercise their right of voting in all polling stations during polling day.

Speaking during the meeting, Everton Chimulireji promised more projects to people of Ntcheu by telling them that the right choice to make on May 21 is to vote for DPP.

Chimulirenji also urged people to pray for him as elections approaches.
