It was not clear at the time what PP would benefit from the alliance.
But on Wednesday, Banda told people in Nkhata Bay that some PP parliamentary aspirants who will emerge victorious in the elections will be offered ministerial positions in the MCP admnistration.
Since the two parties’ partnership began in March this year, Banda has beeen criss crossing the country campaigning for Chakwera.
During her rallies , Banda touts Chakwera as a leader with the welfare of the poor at heart saying he will initiate projects that will uplift lives of Malawians.
“He will introduce a Smart Village project which will have houses built and electrified with solar power. Fertilizer won’t be as expensive as is the case now and there will be no coupons,” Banda said last week in Kasungu.
Malawians go to the polls on May 21 to vote for president, parliamentarians ans ward councillors.
