Mkwate outclasses Babatunde in final

Nyasa Big Bullets starlet Mike Mkwate`s name is all over following his wonderful display against Mighty Be Forward Wanderers in Ecobank Charity Shield final at Kamuzu stadium on Sunday.

Mkwate was in form of his life as he helped his side register a one nil victory against their archrivals. Prior to the game, Nomads` Nigerian striker Babatunde Adeboye dominated the headlines having scored a brace against his former club Masters Security on Saturday.

In early minutes of the game, Babatunde showed signs of tormenting Bullets` defense. Later on, he was silenced by the resilient red army defense which was led by captain fantastic John Lanjezi.

Having managed to contain the Nigerian star, Mkwate was the man who produced highlights of the match. The lad was a marvel to watch with some stylish and productive football. He controlled the engine of the pitch with confidence.

His performance finally paid off in the 67th minutes when he produced a marvelous pass to the veteran striker Chiukepo Msowoya, who did not hesitate but put the ball into the net.

When the under23 international was substituted towards the end of the game, he received a standing ovation from Bullets` fans.

Fans are still lauding the youthful midfielder for a great performance in a game which a lot was expected from Babatunde.
