Previously, Chimulirenji had one police officer but now he has five more security officers guarding him.

Information Minister Henry Mussa said Chimulirenji’s status has now changed hence he need to have extra security.

The decision to allocate additional security to Chimulirenji has however angered the main opposition Malawi Congress Party.

The party argues that the move is unconstitutional since Dr. Saulos Chilima is the only legitimate Vice President in Malawi.

  1. Very unfortunate indeed. Are you realy serious on people with albinism? We are tired of this nonses, we can not wait and watch when brothers and sisters are being killed like animals. You are protecting chimulirenji who has security already for what? Who is going to protect these brothers and sisters? Your priority is to win elections yet you have already failed in these 5 years.
