Devotion: Bear fruit. No excuses

John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”

Bear fruit. Be productive in whatever you are doing. Be attached to Jesus and His Word to ensure you bear fruit. Joh 15:4 “Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.”

Don’t give any excuses. People that give excuses can’t not be productive. Take personal responsibility for everything that you do.

Mark 11:13-14 “And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it.”

The Bible is so clear that it was not yet season of figs but the Master didn’t see that as an enough excuse for the tree not to bear. So don’t heap up all the excuses why you are not productive. Every believer is supposed to be productive in all seasons and excuses are not allowed. 2 Timothy 4:2 “…. be instant in season, out of season.”

Additional scripture: Psalm 1:2-3…”But his delight is in the Law of the LORD. On his Law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.”

Confession

I am a tree planted by the streams of water that brings forth its fruit in every season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever I do always prosper. I can never run dry. I am always productive and full of divine ideas. In Jesus name Amen.
