Exodus 3:14. “And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.”
God introduced Himself with the name I AM. Jesus also calls Himself by the same name.John 8:58. Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham was, I AM.”
What a revelation.
God’s name is in present. He is not past tense. He never introduced Himself as I WAS because He is always present. Psa 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very PRESENT help in trouble.”
When Thomas didn’t know the way to the father, in John 14:6 “Jesus replied, “I AM the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
When Martha wanted the resurrection of her brother Lazarus, in John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies.”
When people were seeking Jesus for bread in John 6:35…” Jesus said to them, I AM the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.”
For the people seeking for their doors to open, He is saying in John10:9-11 “I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.:
Those who need someone to lead them, He says in John 10: 11″ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
Use the name of Jesus in all. Don’t limit him. He says to you I AM….you can finish what you want Him to be. Some believe he can feed them but do not believe He is the healer to their chronic disease. Others believe He can clothe them but don’t believe he is their Forgiver.Whatever you believe Him for, He is that to you.
Confession
I have the name of Jesus. I have access through that name. He is my I AM and therefore I will never be destitute in any situation. He is my everything in every situation in my life. He makes my life a success every day. In Jesus name. Amen
