South Africa based Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has spoiled Mboro with a K50 million (R1 million) treat in cash.

Prophet Mboro, who made headlines in 2014 when a video of him praying over his congregation’s sexual illnesses with their underwear in their hands went viral on social media, turned 50 early this year.

Bushiri, commonly known as Major One, organised a special night of celebration with his Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church to hand Pastor Mboro, real name Paseka Motsoeneng, the belated birthday gift in cash.

The two were sworn enemies. But they buried their hatchet in May this year.

Bushiri said that if prophets did not celebrate each other, no one would love or honour them or take them seriously.

“It is not easy. If you look at traditional healers, they don’t fight one another and they stand together. But men of God fight, we need to stand together. Our styles of ministry are different, but we serve one Jesus,” Bushiri has been quoted as saying.

He added that when he saw Mboro’s work with his generous deeds and the impact he had made in people’s lives through healing and miracles, he had to celebrate the “man of God’s” life.

Pastor Mboro said he was “very emotional” with Bushiri’s generosity.

“Bushiri, you’ve almost brought tears in my eyes. I don’t know what to say. Though we fight often, I don’t hold grudges. Even the Bible says I should love my enemies,” Mboro said who thanked his mother who was in attendance.

“My mother is 88 years old and almost died this year and I asked the Lord to spare her life. I have built houses for many people but I felt I have not done enough for her so I am grateful for her life” he said.

Mboro and Bushiri sorted out their differences and after exchanging apologies, let by-gones be by-gones.

In celebrating his birthday, Pastor Paseka Motsoeneng launched #Mboro50, his mission to win more souls to Jesus. The Bushiri gift is understood to be part of this initiative.
