Bagus: has quit

In a brief notice dated 1st November, Bagus has relayed the information to media houses for dissemination to the masses.

“With effect from today, I, Salim Bagus, have resigned from the Malawi Congress Party,” reads part of the communique.

This means that Bagus will not be vying for a parliamentary seat in Chikwawa Central Constituency on an MCP ticket,

When asked by the media as to why he has left the party, he cited personal reasons.

“I have resigned on personal grounds, from today I am just Salim Bagus,” He said

However some quarters suspect he is joining another camp, something which he has vehemently denied in his justification for his resignation.
