Polytechnic graduates over 400 students

The Polytechnic Continuing Education Centre (CEC) on Friday held a graduation for over 400 students at Bingu wa Mutharika Conference Centre in Lilongwe.

The students – who were studying at CEC campuses in Mzuzu, Blantyre and Lilongwe – got diplomas and certificates in Finance, Laboratory Technology, in Journalism and Civil Engineering.

The theme of day was “Continuing Education: Key to Empowerment and Sustainable Development.”
Speaking after the graduation, Polytechnic Dean of Education and Media Studies Dr Mary Kamwaza commended the graduates for making it and urged them to work hard in their industries.

Kamwaza who also represented the Principal Polytechnic said the students have done well saying some of the students who were on diploma programs are now lecturers which shows that they worked hard.

“Congratulations to all the graduates and we are asking some institutions who are offering the same programs to continue upgrading their programs,” she explained.
