Bad news for DPP:Chakwera, Kaliwo, Msowoya are burying hatchet

Months after Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leader Lazarus Chakwera and Secretary General Gustave Kaliwo clashed, reports reveal the two had a meeting on Friday to map the way forward for the party.

According to sources, among the members that attended the meeting on Friday included Richard Msowoya who is Chakwera’s first vice, Tony Kandiero, James Chatonda and MacDonald Lombola.

Reports reveal further that the meeting was scheduled to look at positions like of Secretary General and Spokesperson which the party is operating without due to internal political squabbles.

However, when Malawi24 contacted MCP second deputy secretary general Eisenhower Mkaka to confirm the reports, efforts proved futile as he did not respond to questions sent to him.

Kaliwo and other MCP members have been expressing discomfort with Chakwera’s leadership saying he was becoming a dictator within the party.

He later called for emergency party convention so that members should elect new leadership for the party.

You have used’ bad news for dpp’ inorder to attract readers.Thats good style or introduction.The opposite is the case.The team mentioned were intact when the party mentioned made successful stories.One may ask what each of the members mentioned did good to dpp for the party to lamment for their reunion.This is how dpp do well on such issues.Already Mr Mia has an asignment on how he will cope up with this reunion.Will he feel comfortable?How about if he also feels of going back to dpp for reunion? Time is up for roundabout politics.There are still many influencial mcp members who need this unity and should better be done massivelly versus piecemeal type of reunion.Its not bad news for dpp but an awakening message.Dpp should start identifying their members including Sidic Mia.I can suggest one for you to find.Dr.Lucious Kanyumba.

    12. This happens only in Malawi when you write or speak broken english, people will take those mistakes as their topics of discussions. English is there for communication nothing else that’s why is called first international language. Honestly this is not out mother’s tongue we all know that. But you will see a professor who is very intelligent person but finding it so hard to speaking english whilst seeing someon with no school papers but speaking as if there is no tomorrow. Nicholas Dausi is my good example, the guy who speaks as if tomorrow will not speak again. And not only that Peter Mutharika does speak as if he is holding a frog on his mouth yet we all know about his vast school papers. Putting political aside Chakwela speaks as if he is pure white guy we all know about this. Even in our own mother’s tongue we do make mistakes, what about this? When you see somebody teasing his friend due to english problems just know he is a barbaric person.
