Two put person with albinism for sale

Police in Machinga are keeping in custody two men for trying to sell a 24-year-old person with albinism in the district.

The district community police coordinator Nayson Bondo identified the two as John Kapale other suspect went to a businessman in the district at Ntaja to offer him the person with albinism at the price of K20 Million.

The businessman therefore alerted the Police and they made a plan to catch the suspects.

Believing that they had found a buyer for the person with albinism, the suspects took him to Ntaja after lying to him that they had found a job for him.

Later, on their way Police arrested the two.

Meanwhile, the two are currently in police custody for further enquiries.

John Kapale comes from Jabu in the area of Traditional Authority Nkanda in Phalombe district while Francis Dick comes from Chikowi village, T/A Chikowi in Dedza district.

They will appear before court soon to answer charges against them.
