A giant musical event is expected shake the soils of Chancellor College in Zomba this weekend.
Organised by Chanco intercom, the social weekend has attracted top urban music artists to perform this coming weekend at the university.
Chanco’s entertainment director, Gift Symon, confirmed with Malawi24 of the tight performers list earmarked to dish out the much sought fun among the students.
“I’m so excited about this social weekend because I and many other students have been waiting for this event. We are talking about artists that are trending right now on the list to perform. This is no mini event,’’ said Symon.
Heavyweight Tay Grin whose music fused with culturally mixed beat has kept him moving to great heights leads the list along with another top artist by the name of Piksy.
The others are Bucci, Charisma of the Kubanda fame and Saint whose single Delilah just got him nominated for the song of year and artist of the year categories in the Urban Music People (UMP) Awards.
Lilongwe based producer cum musician Janta, Postnegative and Hazel Mak have all made the cut to the list as well.
The event which starts from Friday way through to Sunday is sponsored by Vogue, Lounge, Tasty bites, Annies Lodge and Kanopy.
