A chief in Mulanje district has trashed claims made by Mulanje South Member of Parliament Bon Kalindo that a villager in the constituency is a victim of blood sucking.
The chief made the remarks in Mulanje in the presence of President Peter Mutharika and Kalindo himself.
The chief said Kalindo told local media that in the village of the chief which is in Kalindo’s constituency one person was a victim of the blood sucking saga.
According to the chief, Kalindo made false sentiments because no one reported to him (chief) that they had had their blood sucked.
The traditional leader said he even organised meetings in his area where it was revealed that there was no blood sucking victim in the area.
Kalindo seemed shocked when the chief made remarks and was spotted removing his glasses and pursing his lips.
Recently, Kalindo said reports of blood sucking are real adding that ‘satanists’ and ‘magicians’ are behind sucking blood in the district.
