A Rab Processors worker has died after a wall of a warehouse fell on him.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 13:20 hours at Rab Processors Limited in Kanengo industrial area and the worker has only been identified as Kondwani.
According to Mr Naimu Gulamu who is operations manager at the company, at that particular time he was busy in his office when he heard some people shouting.
Naimu decided to go out and find out what has happened but he was surprised to see people rushing to the warehouse.
He then followed to see what had inspired only to find out that the wall of a warehouse had fallen on one of the causal workers.
Mr Naimu immediately arranged for transport to ferry the victim to the hospital and at the same time he informed the police about the accident.
Kanengo police deputy spokesperson Salome Zgambo confirmed about the death and said the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kamuzu Central Hospital.
Police are still investigating the matter in order to establish the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, the dead body is still at Kamuzu Central Hospital mortuary for identification and post-mortem.
