Mzuni to downsize

Relegation threatened Mzuni will offload players at the end of the Super League first round due to poor performances in league and cup games.

A member of the team’s technical panel told Malawi24 that players who have not performed well so far face the chop at the end of the first round.

He however did not mention any names.

Mzuni F.C to downsize.

“We are keeping some players who are not in form that’s why we are not doing fine in the elite league, you can agree with me we started well but our performances are now poor,” said the official who did not want to be named.

He said the technical panel is working hard to rectify problems but the coaches have accepted that the club’s performances will not improve with the current squad.

“We cannot blame coaching panel, these people are working hard but some players are tired. It is time to bring into the squad fresh blood,” he said.

Mzuni who lost to Moyale last weekend are on position 12 with 12 points after playing 10 games.

The Green Intellectuals’ next game is against another limping side Chitipa United on 29th July at Mzuzu stadium.
