The Flames will play Angola in their final group A match in the ongoing Cosafa Castle Cup at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in South Africa this evening.

Malawi must win the match with more than a two goal margin if they are to progress to the quarterfinals of the competition.

The two teams played each other in the same tournament last year in which Malawi won 3-nil against a very youthful Angolan side.

Malawi faces Angola today.

However, today’s clash will be the toughest as Angola have four points and they will just be looking for a draw for them to put one foot in the quarterfinal stage.

The Flames are yet to score a goal at the tournament despite creating lot’s of goal scoring opportunities in their goalless draw to Mauritius on Tuesday.

With Ian Chinyama ruled out and John Lanjesi suspended after accumulating two yellow cards, head coach Ronny Van Geneudgen is expected to make some changes in today’s must win clash.

Innocent Bokosi, Jabulani Linje and Dalitso Sailesi are all expected to spear head Flames attack with Chikoti Chirwa and Levison Maganizo playing in the middle of the park.

A draw will see Malawi returning  home as it will mean that they have two points out of the possible nine in the group.

Only group winner will face South Africa in the quarterfinals of the cup.

The Flames are yet to win the tournament since it’s inception but came close between 2002/03 when they reached the finals but lost in both occasions.
