Bullets confirm of Ramadhan’s suspension

Nyasa Big Bullets have confirmed head coach Nswazirimo Ramadhan has been suspended due to what has been dubbed as the team’s poor performance.

Bullets General Secretary Albert Chigoga is quoted as having said this is in a bid to allow the Burundian who was weeks ago  warned by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to desist from attacking match officials do more soul searching.

”He (Ramadhan) has been asked to step aside just for now looking at the team’s performance”said Chigoga.

At the moment the Peoples team has opted for Ramadhan’s assistant Elia Kananji to be in charge of the team temporarily.

The Blantyre based side continue their poor start to this campaign.

In the league, from the seven matches played, Bullets have gathered 11 points which put them in 3rd position. They are followed by Wizards FC who also have same number of points with a game in hand.

Bullets are a point behind League leaders, Red Lions, who also have a game in hand having fulfilled six fixtures. Their bitter rivals, Be Forward Wanderers, are second on the table with 12 points amassed in their four fixtures.

  15. Issues of NBB should be left to them. By suspending the coach is may be one way of solving the problem the team is encountering. Such things happen in many clubs . That is why Malawi has engaged a foreign coach.

  17. I do not believe that the suspension of Head Coach Nswazurimo Ramadhan will solve matters here. Learn from Manchester United. They did not fire their Team Manager Jose Mourihno due to poor showing in English Premier League. They well knew that that they employed someone who has a callibre to change things in the team. He inherited a poor team and went on with that. His true results will be seen in the coming season. Ramadhan too has the credentials and callibre to change matters at Bullets. The crop of players we have cannot change things overnight unless Bullets in skilled strikers. The problem is money and we have to accept that. It is my humble request to bring the head coach back . This team will soon build up and come up to the form.
